The Wee Woodland Loafers are cozy little hugs for your feet and they are super quick to knit. Incorporating heel, toe and sole shaping; these slippers are designed to fit and stay on your feet.

Knit both flat and in the round, and the best part… There is absolutely no finishing required!

And did we mention they are super quick to knit? And super cozy? They’re made with 95-180 yards of chunky yarn, depending on your size, and size US 5 circular needles and/or DPNs. We recommend Cestari Mount Vernon Worsted or The Fiber Company Arranmore yarn.

Yarn weight: Heavy worsted or Aran
Suggested needle size: US 5 DPN or circular needles
Yardage: 50-140 yards (See table below for yardage by size. Choose the sole length that is one size smaller than your foot.)

Wee Woodland Loafers Pattern Tips

This pattern works up quick and is great for gifts!

The 1st part you knit is the sole, so you could skip swatching and use the sole as your swatch. Compare the sole length to the length of your foot. However, remember that you want your loafers to fit snugly, so the sole will need to be a bit shorter than your foot. You also have to account for how much the loafers will grow when blocked. So… you’ll probably need to make your sole about 10% shorter than your foot. And remember, if your first pair is not the right size, you can always use them as a gift then make the necessary adjustments to knit another pair.

Adding these 2-piece suede slipper bottoms to the soles of your loafers will help them last longer.
