Be sure to purchase enough yarn to complete your project. As with all hand dyed yarns, dye lots are very small and not as consistent as machine dyed yarns.
With all multi-colored hand dyed yarns, such as Mary Ann Sock, each skein is unique. Therefore, we recommend that you work from two balls of yarn at once to ensure random color distribution, alternating every row or two from each ball. This short video will show you how to alternate your yarns.
About Wonderland Yarns
Inspired by the colorful adventures of Lewis Carroll’s Alice in Wonderland and the ever-breathtaking landscape of southern Vermont, Stephanie Shiman and her talented team create Wonderland Yarns, a full line of hand dyed fibers and yarns.
The business grew organically, from Stephanie’s dining room to attic to house take-over to studio to bigger studio. What started as a one-woman operation over a decade ago, is now a dozen-strong team located in the BDCC Book Press building in Brattleboro, VT, USA.
