Our next retreat is March 10-12, 2023. Registration opens approximately 4 months prior to the retreat, and we take up to 50 participants. Whether you knit, crochet, spin, or do another yarn craft, you are welcome at this retreat.

The yarn retreat is by far our most popular event. If you desire to spend time with your yarn-loving tribe, this is the place! Attending the retreat will give you the chance to:
- Get away from it all and relax in the countryside
- Meet other knitters, crocheters, and spinners
- While away the hours working on your fiber projects
- Forge lasting friendships
- Learn new techniques
That isn’t all there is to do at the retreat center, however! There are also plenty of opportunities for hiking, wildlife viewing, bird watching, and swimming in the pool (at the August Retreat).
And we have door prizes!
Grab your yarn and unwind with us!
- Friday night Show & Tell - Each person can bring one finished (or unfinished) garment to show off. This is a great icebreaker and a fun way to discover new projects to add to your queue.
- Saturday Mini Market - We will have a couple independent hand dyers at the retreat with their yarn and notions. You're sure to find some skeins and goodies you just HAVE to take home!
- Knit Along - At each retreat, we offer a 1- or 2-skein KAL. The KAL is optional and there is a separate fee for the supplies.
- Special Class - At many of the retreats we offer an optional class for an additional fee. At past retreats we've offered a Pin Loom Weaving class and a Plant-Based Yarn Dyeing Class.
The specific independent dyers, knit along, and special class offered at each retreat will be listed on the retreat registration page.
- Lodge Room - these rooms are the most convenient to the conference room where we meet and the restaurant where we eat. Each room has a private balcony and either 2 double beds or 1 king bed.
- 1 Bedroom Cabin - Each 1 bedroom cabin has a double bed, full bath, fully-furnished kitchen, private porch or deck, and either a gas or wood-burning fireplace. The cabins are a short walk or drive from the main lodge.
- 2 Bedroom Cottage - Each two-bedroom, two-bathroom cottage has a fully-furnished kitchen and a private porch or deck that is surrounded by woodland, a short walk or drive from the main lodge. Each bedroom has two queen beds (total of four beds). This is the most economical option if there are 3 or more people in your group.
Meals
The retreat fee includes breakfast and dinner from Friday evening through Sunday morning. We eat in the restaurant in the lodge from a limited menu. The restaurant can accommodate special dietary needs.
Many of the meal choices are hearty, so many of our participants bring snacks for their lunches.
I needed time away to relax, laugh, and enjoy my craft. I enjoyed the knit along and I like the relaxed schedule that allows you to take time to do other interests, like hiking and swimming. I particularly enjoyed having girl-time and meeting like-minded crafters who taught me new techniques to improve my skills.
“The thing I liked best about the retreat was all the friendly, helpful people. Also loved the ease of going from our room to the dining room and conference room. The park resort was very pleasant and clean.”
“As usual, the weekend was simply wonderful. What a blessing it is to be able to spend time with friends that enjoy the same hobby that I enjoy. And it’s always exciting to meet new friends. Show and Tell is one of my favorite parts of the retreat. These ladies are so creative and always inspire me to try a new project that’s a little harder than the one I just finished. I love a challenge!”
I haven't missed one yet - I always make time for it. So relaxing. No schedules, no pressure. Just a wonderful stone porch, my knitting and friends.
